Tunbridge Wells Friends of the Earth is the local branch of a national organization, which in turn is part of a global movement. We are connected with other local environmental groups, and help to give local people a voice on climate change and climate action, for a more sustainable way of life.
Tunbridge Wells Great Get Together
TWFOE organised a plastic-free picnic in Calverley Grounds in memory of Jo Cox who said that “We have more in common than that which divides us.”
The community picnic on the 6th Anniversary of Jo’s death was supported by Cohesion Plus, the organiser of Mela, and brought together a wide range of people from different backgrounds and cultures who shared food and joined in with various free activities, such as acoustic music, including an Indian and African drum workshop, sponsored by Cohesion Plus, sing-along with local choirs, professional face painting (for all ages!), children’s games and a plants and seeds swap.

We want to encourage all to submit works of art, poetry and writing in support of planet Earth and in response to the urgency of climate change. #TunWellsFOEArt

We need your help so we can continue our activities, such as tree planting and litter picking, engaging young people in the process, to help look after the natural environment in the Tunbridge Wells borough and raise awareness of climate change generally. Please contact us for more information
